Martin Hudak works between coffee and cocktails, and the point of contact between the two is the method. Born in Prešov, Slovakia, he built that practice by treating coffee service and bar service as adjacent disciplines rather than separate ones.
The Climb
A small café in Prešov, Slovakia (2010–2015) gave Martin Hudak his first professional ground in coffee. He then moved to London, where senior bartender work at The Savoy (2015–2017) put cocktail service into a larger, more exacting setting. Since 2019, ownership of Maybe Sammy has placed Martin Hudak in charge of the bar program at that venue.
Today
The work centers on coffee and cocktails as a single language of service and mixing.
