i. Biography
France-born, Zurich-based Mathieu Theis co-founded MAME in 2016 and leads its work in green-coffee selection, roasting and community building. A continuing competition barista, he won the Swiss Barista Championship in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2024 and 2026 and has repeatedly reached the World Barista Championship finals.
