Matthias Winkler has served as Managing Director of all operating companies at Hotel Sacher Vienna and the wider Sacher group since 2014. Public profiles also describe him as CEO of Sacher Hotels, overseeing Hotel Sacher Wien, Hotel Sacher Salzburg, Hotel Bristol Vienna, Sacher cafés, and the Original Sacher-Torte production. His career before hospitality included work in management at McDonald’s and senior roles in Austria’s Ministry of Finance, where he led the press office and later served as chief of staff to Finance Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser.
