Mélanie Pfister

Mélanie Pfister is the eighth-generation winemaker at Domaine Mélanie Pfister in Dahlenheim, Alsace, and the first woman to lead the family estate. She took over from her father André with the 2006 vintage, after studies in viticulture/oenology and training stages at Zind-Humbrecht, Méo-Camuzet, Château Cheval Blanc, Château d’Yquem, and Craggy Range in New Zealand. Her wines are noted for dry, incisive styles, and the domaine’s more recent work includes orange wine and organic/biodynamic viticulture.
