Michel Städter

Michel Städter leads estate operations, viticulture, and oenology at Schloss Johannisberg in the Rheingau. He joined the historic Riesling estate in 2018 after earning an engineering degree in viticulture and oenology at Geisenheim University. Schloss Johannisberg identifies him as the leader of its vineyard team and, in its 250th-anniversary Spätlese coverage, as field operations manager and oenologist. His work spans the steep 50-hectare monopole vineyard and the cellar program behind an estate that has cultivated Riesling for centuries.
