Gerd Ritter

Gerd Ritter is the cellar master at Schloss Johannisberg in Geisenheim-Johannisberg, where he has been responsible for the wine cellar and vinification since 1999. The estate identifies him as its Kellermeister/Cellarmaster and notes that he is an oenologist working with the winery’s Riesling, including traditional and modern cellar methods. He passed his master’s examination at the State Educational and Testing Establishment for Wine and Fruit Growing in Weinsberg in 2003.
