Michel Städter is the head of Schloss Johannisberg and has been at the estate since 2018, where he is identified as responsible for the vineyard/field operations and oenology. Schloss Johannisberg’s official people page states that he graduated in engineering for viticulture and oenology at Geisenheim University. Secondary coverage also notes that he became head of estate/viticulture/oenology at the historic Rheingau winery and joined after prior experience in viticulture, including leadership at Chat Sauvage.
