Mike Chelini was the longtime winemaker at Stony Hill Vineyard on Spring Mountain. He joined Fred McCrea as assistant winemaker in 1972, took over after McCrea's death in 1977, and carried the estate's restrained, site-driven style through his final vintage in 2018. Stony Hill's current winemaker is Reid Griggs.
