In Motovun, Istria, Croatia, Roxanich works as a house of rare, long-aged, premium, natural wines. Under Rožanić’s direction as founder and winemaker, the cellar is defined by restraint and extended ageing, with wines held back long enough to gather nuance and layered complexity before release. That approach is built into the house’s identity. Rare, long-aged, premium, natural wines are not treated as a slogan but as a working discipline, with attention given to process rather than display. Rožanić’s role at Roxanich is to hold that line, making the decisions that keep the wines from being rushed.
