Onofre Ortiz

Onofre Ortiz is a fifth-generation mezcalero and palenquero from Bramaderos, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, where he produces mezcal and agave distillates from cultivated and capón-harvested agaves. He is the founder/creator behind Puntiagudo and the foundational producer for Claridad, with spirits made in Bramaderos using traditional pit-cooking, hand-crushing, and natural fermentation methods.
