Paciano Cruz Nolasco is a mezcal producer in San Luis del Río, Oaxaca, best known as the palenquero behind Del Maguey’s San Luis del Río and Vida expressions. He is one of the original makers of Vida and says the classic flavor profile for San Luis del Río was introduced in 1995.
