The house’s history page says he was born in 1948, was influenced by U.S. stages at Beaulieu Vineyard in the 1970s, and helped build the brand through cuvées such as La Pouyade, Réserve Familiale, and N°1 before transferring the patrimony to his son Christophe in 2015.
