Peter L. Stein

Peter L. Stein is a San Francisco-based documentary maker, film programmer, and interviewer whose work includes the Peabody-winning documentary The Castro and the PBS series Neighborhoods: The Hidden Cities of San Francisco. He spent 11 years at KQED and later served as Executive Director of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival from 2003 to 2011, then as Senior Programmer for Frameline beginning in 2014. His productions for public television included culinary series with Jacques Pépin, which earned James Beard Awards, and he has also produced the profile Jacques Pépin: The Art of Craft for PBS American Masters.
