Quin Cheung

Quin Cheung’s early work was built in the collaborative space where story depends on timing, framing, and trust. From 2025, Quin served as co-producer and co-director at Chef Stories, a role that required coordination as much as composition. The result was a visual approach with a cinematic register: paced carefully, attentive to atmosphere, and built around the small details that give an image weight. The progression did not move in a straight line so much as through repeated refinements, with each project sharpening the one that followed. That approach carries into Quin’s current work as photographer of DQ Studios. In a studio setting, the image has to land quickly, but the method stays measured. The work at DQ Studios continues the same line of practice that began at Chef Stories: collaboration on one side, precision on the other, with visual language doing the heavy lifting. Today As photographer of DQ Studios, Quin works with a polished, filmic eye. The role is not only about recording what is there; it is about deciding how it should be seen. That carries forward the sensibility established during the co-producing and co-directing work at Chef Stories, where pacing, atmosphere, and framing were already central. The current output reads as controlled without being stiff, expressive without losing clarity, and grounded in an attention to how image can hold mood.
