i. Biography
Raffaele Alajmo is the CEO and maître des lieux of the Alajmo Group, centered on Le Calandre in Sarmeola di Rubano, Padua, where he and his brother Massimiliano took over the family restaurant in 1994. Official Alajmo materials identify him as Maître des Lieux at Le Calandre, and a hospitality conference profile says Le Calandre has held 3 Michelin stars since 2002 under the brothers’ leadership. He began his career at Le Calandre as a sommelier and later became maître d’, building a group that now spans multiple restaurants and related businesses.
