Refugio Calzada Hernández, known as Don Cuco, is a mezcalero from Tetitlán de la Lima, Chilapa de Álvarez, Guerrero, Mexico, with family mezcal-making roots spanning three generations. He is a leading producer of papalote/cupreata agave spirits, and he has worked in mezcal since age 14, with more than 50 years of experience.
