Richard Boccato owns and operates Hundredweight Ice in Queens, New York City. Born in Florence, Italy and raised in Brooklyn, he has built his career in New York.
The Path
Richard Boccato began behind the bar at Little Branch and Milk & Honey in New York City (2005–2009), then moved into a defining run of openings and partnerships: he opened Painkiller (pkny) at Painkiller (PKNY) in Manhattan's Lower East Side (from 2010) and opened Weather Up Tribeca at Weather Up Tribeca in Downtown Manhattan (from 2010). By 2013, he was partner at Sweetleaf in Long Island City (from 2013), applied for liquor license for Asphalt Jungle at Asphalt Jungle in Avenue B, East Village (from 2013), and applied for liquor license for Haymaker in Grand and Bedford, Williamsburg (from 2013). Today, Richard is partner of Dutch Kills (since 2009).
