i. Biography
RJ Cooper is a James Beard chef whose career has included leadership roles at Vidalia in Washington, D.C., Rogue 24 in Washington, D.C., and Saint Stephen and Acqua in Nashville. In January 2025, Destination Kohler announced him as its new culinary director, where he would lead the food and beverage program across multiple Kohler, Wisconsin, restaurants. He won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2007 while at Vidalia, and earlier accounts note training under chefs including Guenter Seeger, Gilbert Le Coze, and Eric Ripert.
