Romain Fornell is a French chef based in Barcelona who opened Caelis in 2004 and earned a Michelin star for the restaurant the following year. Caelis is cited by the official site as his flagship, and the restaurant describes his cuisine as contemporary, reinterpreting tradition and vanguard; the official Caelis biography also says he has been based in Barcelona since 2002 and directs the gastronomic spaces at Hotel Ohla Barcelona. He later co-founded the Goût Rouge group in 2019, which includes multiple restaurants in Barcelona.
