RoxSand Scocos McCreary is a Washington-born chef who opened RoxSand Restaurant & Bar in Phoenix/Scottsdale and became a prominent figure in Arizona dining. She won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Southwest in 1999 and was described in contemporary coverage as the first person ever to appear on the cover of Bon Appétit. She later appeared as a featured chef in James Beard Foundation Taste America events in Phoenix.
