Sam K. Cecil

Samuel K. Cecil was a Kentucky distillery chemist and bourbon historian who began working in the distillery industry in 1937 at the T. W. Samuels operation and later wrote about the bourbon industry in Kentucky. He was born in Nelson County, Kentucky, graduated from the University of Louisville, and served in the military during World War II. Sam Cecil died in Bardstown on April 7, 2005, at age 86.
