i. Biography
Sam Rethmeier is a Los Angeles-based sommelier and wine director known for leading the wine program at République in Los Angeles and for founding Wednesday Night Wine Club in 2020. Earlier in his career, he worked at Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, then held wine-floor and management roles at chi SPACCA, Les Marchands, and Nocciola before returning to Los Angeles to join République in 2017., he was named a StarChefs Los Angeles Rising Stars Sommelier Award winner.
