Precision and ambition are the useful markers in Sarah Marquis’s early record: she began as winemaker at Fox Creek from 1991, and that role set the pace for what followed. The discipline built there carried into later work, including the brand identity she helped shape. Since 2005, Sarah has been the founder / co-owner and sole owner / controlling shareholder of Mollydooker, a position that places her directly inside the winery’s voice and decisions.

Where They Are Now

What drives Sarah Marquis now, by her own account, is not the winemaking process itself. Through Mollydooker, the work has widened into a broader purpose, with the winery used as a means to enrich the lives of others. That shift gives the label a second register: not just production, but public benefit.

Signature

Sarah Marquis’s signature wines include Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz, Velvet Glove, The Boxer, Two Left Feet, and Carnival of Love. Taken together, they map a style built on expressive fruit, supple texture and a confident frame, in keeping with the broader Mollydooker profile. Each wine carries its own name, but the technical language across the range stays consistent.

In Their Words “My greatest inspiration comes from those who benefit from the three very worthy charities which Mollydooker Wines supports; the Hutt St Centre in Adelaide, Transform Cambodia, and Mercy Multiplied in the USA.” “What inspires me today however isn’t even associated to the winemaking process!
