Coming Up
Before wine, Scott Palazzo worked in Music Video and television as a director / producer until 2003. That background trained an eye for timing, composition, and how to make an idea read quickly and cleanly on screen. In Napa Valley, that same discipline now shows up in wine, where structure, atmosphere, and a precise sense of place have to hold together bottle by bottle.
Where They Are Now
At Palazzo Wine in Napa Valley, Scott focuses on Napa Valley wines, working in a region whose name carries both prestige and expectation. The work sits on the vineyard side of the trade as much as the cellar side: read the place, keep the frame clear, and let the wines carry the weight. The move from directing and producing to winemaking is not a detour so much as a change of medium, with the same attention to detail now applied to vintage and site.
Signature
Scott’s signature dishes include Left Bank Red, 2019 Cabernet Franc, 2018 Cabernet Franc, Magna Carta Cellars, 2021, and Red Wine. Each name points to a different register within his wine work, and together they show the range associated with his palate.
In Their Words “I was tasked with the challenge of conceptualizing and visualizing the world of digital exports for Stripe.”
Honors
Scott’s honors include Grammy Awards — Best Music Film, nominee. It marks a period when his work in film and television reached a level of industry recognition before wine became the center of his professional practice.
