Sean O’Keefe

Sean O’Keefe is the winemaker at Mari Vineyards on Michigan’s Old Mission Peninsula near Traverse City, where he focuses on Riesling and Italian varieties. He came from a Michigan winemaking family and developed his Riesling expertise through training in Germany before joining Mari in 2009, initially as a consultant involved in hiring a winemaker and later becoming the winery’s winemaker. He is a second-generation winemaker and the person behind Mari’s estate-grown wines and cellar program.
