Since 2018, management of the estate and production at Brandini has placed Serena Bagnasco at the center of both farming and winemaking. The role asks for continuity across the seasons, where timing, judgment, and restraint matter as much as technical control. Her approach is steady: read the site, respect the land, and keep intervention limited enough that the estate’s character can stay visible in the wine. At Brandini, that makes her position one of stewardship as much as execution.

The Work Today

At Brandini, the work runs as a single process rather than separate vineyard and cellar disciplines. Serena Bagnasco’s role depends on moving from field observations to production decisions without breaking that chain, so the estate’s identity carries through each stage. The language around the work is practical—harmony, moderation, quality—but the craft lies in how consistently those ideas are applied. The goal is not excess. It is to preserve the best possible expression of the fruit and wine while keeping the impact as limited as possible, with the estate itself held at the center of the process.

Serena's signature wines include Brandini Barolo La Morra 2019, Brandini Alta Langa Brut 20, 2021 Barolo Annunziata, and 2021 Barolo R56. Taken together, they show the range of the work at Brandini, spanning sparkling and still expressions and reflecting the breadth of the estate’s production. Each sits within the same method: close attention in the vineyard, disciplined handling in the cellar, and a focus on quality that stays legible across the portfolio.
