Sonya Vega Auvray is the founder and CEO of Doña Vega Mezcal, a modern organic mezcal brand launched in November 2019 after a 17-year career in public relations. Public profiles say she developed the brand after multiple trips to Oaxaca and extensive recipe testing, and that the mezcal is distributed in hotels, restaurants, and retail channels in the United States. Some Sonya Vega is the former founder of The Wetherly Group, a PR firm, before moving into spirits entrepreneurship.
