i. Biography
Tia Clark is a Charleston native, conservationist, and the founder of Casual Crabbing with Tia, a dock-based crabbing and fishing enterprise established along the Ashley River in Charleston, South Carolina. After spending nearly two decades in the Charleston food and beverage industry, she launched her crabbing experience in 2017 to share sustainable fishing practices and reconnect with her coastal Gullah Geechee heritage.
Her operation quickly achieved global acclaim, earning recognition as one of Airbnb's top-rated experiences worldwide. Clark also serves on the Marine Advisory Committee for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, supporting marsh and oyster reef restoration initiatives.
