Vicky Lau is a Hong Kong chef and culinary entrepreneur best known as the founder and chef-owner of TATE Dining Room, a fine-dining restaurant that has been awarded Michelin stars and is associated with her creative, seasonal tasting-menu approach. Official TATE materials identify her as the culinary entrepreneur and award-winning chef behind TATE Dining Room, Date by TATE, MORA, and Ān Soy, while recent reporting describes TATE Dining Room as her long-running flagship in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. She opened TATE in 2012, and press coverage credits her with receiving Asia’s Best Female Chef recognition in 2015 and with later guiding TATE to two Michelin stars.
