    i. Biography

    Vince Nguyen is a Portland-based chef and the chef-owner behind Berlu Bakery, a Vietnamese bakery in Portland, Oregon. Berlu opened in 2019 as a modern tasting-menu restaurant and later transitioned into a Vietnamese bakery; Nguyen also reopened the bakery in 2025 in a new Belmont Street location. He has been publicly identified as the chef behind Berlu and as the James Beard Award–winning chef associated with the project.
