Since 2002, the winemaking at Bodegas Luis Pérez has been part of Willy Perez’s daily practice, giving the estate a continuity that matters in a region shaped by memory, tradition, and change. Over that span, his work has helped keep the wines aligned to a restrained, deliberate register, allowing character to accumulate without forcing the pace. Since 2017, co-founding Bodegas de la Riva has added another platform for Willy Perez’s thinking. The move extends the same long-view approach into a second setting, broadening the field in which his ideas can take shape while keeping them grounded in the craft of Jerez.

For Perez, the future of Jerez depends on breadth as much as on heritage. Diversity in the message is essential for the resurgence of Jerez.
