Yves Thuriès

Yves Thuriès is a French chef, pastry chef, and chocolatier born in Lempaut, Tarn. He left home at 14 to begin training in pastry, chocolatier, and cooking, later becoming a Compagnon du Tour de France and the only two-time Meilleur Ouvrier de France in the pastry-catering and confectionery-ice cream categories. He opened Le Grand Écuyer in Cordes-sur-Ciel in 1980, earned a Michelin star there the following year, and later founded his own chocolate brand and Thuriès Gastronomie Magazine.
