Zoë Kanan

Zoë Kanan is a New York–based baker and pastry chef who founded Zoë’s Doughies and became a baker-partner at Elbow Bread on the Lower East Side. She previously served as head baker and pastry chef for Simon & The Whale and Studio at the Freehand Hotel in New York. Sources also report earlier work at Four & Twenty Blackbirds, Momofuku Milk Bar, Major Food Group, and Altamarea Group, after moving from Texas to New York in 2009 to study pastry at the French Culinary Institute.
