The family line is part of the work: Pulenta is a third-generation winemaker, making wine on a historic family estate rather than treating the property as scenery. His role is both founder and owner, but the more useful word here is maker. The house style is not built around reinvention. Forty-five hectares for structure

The estate works from 45 hectares of vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, with Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Petit Verdot in the planted language of the house. Vistalba’s register is still red wine, and the signature names attached to Pulenta make that plain: Vistalba Corte A Mendoza 2007, Vistalba Corte B, Vistalba Corte C Mendoza 2006, VISTALBA, and TOMERO. The Corte wines give the clearest view of the method, not because the winery publishes a technical sheet for every decision, but because their very grammar is blending. Corte asks for proportion, patience, and a tolerance for small adjustments.

The stated philosophy is sustainable, and the scale is small. Those two facts sit well together at this address, where the estate is the unit of attention and the blend is the final argument. Malbec supplies the center of gravity, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot give the maker other ways to work with frame, edge, and length.
