Parcel-Led Champagne
Champagne Jean-Marc Sélèque is a family domaine in Pierry built around close attention to individual plots. Its 10 hectares span 48 plots in seven municipalities, giving the team a varied set of clays, chalk and slopes to interpret in the cellar.
Three generations, one changing approach
Henri Sélèque planted vines in Moussy and Pierry in the 1960s and sold his first bottles in 1969. Richard Sélèque expanded the holdings and developed the domaine’s winemaking equipment. Jean-Marc returned in 2008 after studying and working abroad, bringing a more precise, vineyard-led approach to the family estate.

The domaine describes its farming as moving toward organic methods without certification. It has used biodynamic-inspired practices since 2010 and plows some plots by horse to limit compaction. In the cellar, Jean-Marc vinifies by plot, works with indigenous yeasts and adjusts vessels to the wine rather than treating every parcel alike.
A blend that makes the work visible
Partition brings seven wines from seven selected plots into one cuvée, with each component vinified in oak. It makes the grower’s task tangible: understand each site on its own terms, then decide how the parts belong together.
