Before Abrie Bruwer became winemaker of Springfield Estate in Robertson, the work was already under his feet. Born and raised on the estate, he came up inside the vineyards, cellar, and wider landscape that now define his practice. That kind of continuity matters in wine: the place is not a later assignment, but the frame through which he learned to read fruit, site, and season.
