i. Biography
AD Singh is an Indian restaurateur and entrepreneur best known as the founder and managing director of Olive Group of Restaurants, which launched Olive Bar and Kitchen in Mumbai in 2000 and later expanded into brands including Monkey Bar and SodaBottleOpenerWala. He began in hospitality with Just Desserts in Mumbai in 1990, started with an investment of Rs 50,000, and later helped shape India’s standalone, experience-led dining scene. Interviews and profiles also describe him as an engineer who left the corporate world to build one of India’s best-known restaurant groups.
