Albert B. Blanton

Albert B. Blanton (Albert Bacon Blanton) was a Kentucky distillery executive born in 1881 near Frankfort, Kentucky, who began working at the George T. Stagg Distillery in 1897 as an office boy and later rose through operations leadership. Buffalo Trace states that he became superintendent of the distillery, warehouses, and bottling shop by 1912 and was named president in 1921; the brand Blanton’s Single Barrel was later created in his honor. He spent more than 55 years in bourbon production and was closely associated with what is now Buffalo Trace Distillery.
