André Großfeld

André Großfeld is a German chef born in Telgte in 1977 who has been associated with the Villa Merton in Frankfurt am Main since January 2015, where he is the host, owner/pächter, and chef. Earlier in his career, he trained under Alfons Schuhbeck at the Kurhausstüberl in Waging am See and worked at Michael Wollenberg’s Marinas in Hamburg, Tantris in Munich under Hans Haas, and New-Brick in Frankfurt. He opened his own restaurant, Grossfeld, in 2005 in Dorheim/Friedberg, earned a Michelin star there annually through 2014, and later received another Michelin star for Villa Merton in 2015.
