Andréa Lawson Gray

Andréa Lawson Gray is a San Francisco-based chef, writer, and culinary anthropologist whose work spans cookbook research and writing, food styling, art direction, and culinary strategy. She has more than two decades in professional kitchens, began her writing career covering Mexican food and holiday traditions in San Francisco’s Mission District, and previously built, opened, and ran Taipan Diane, a 50-seat Asian-fusion restaurant on City Island in New York. She is also identified as a James Beard Award–winning cookbook writer and the co-author of Caribbean Cocktails: Drinks & Bites from the Afro-Latino Diaspora.
