i. Biography
Coming Up
Training in science at the University of Oxford gave Anne Brock the technical grounding that later carried into distilling. Bartending came first in practice, then lead distilling at Jensen’s Bermondsey Gin, before she moved into Bombay Sapphire. The shift was suggested by a friend, and Brock has described it as a point where two parts of her working life came together.

In Their Words “I wanted a practical one, something that I could look back at and be like ‘I achieved that today’. But I also wanted to use my science.”
