The Path
Formal study at University of Nevada, Reno, was followed by cellar and lab work at Owl Ridge Wine Services in Sebastopol, where Ashley Herzberg first worked as Laboratory Technician and later as Lab Manager. Those roles built a practice grounded in measurement, observation, and the accumulation of small decisions, the sort of training that shows up later as steadiness at every stage of the work. From Owl Ridge Wine Services, Ashley Herzberg moved to Mauritson Wines, where she worked as Assistant Winemaker from 2007–2011. That period added responsibility to an already exacting base, sharpening a style that favors clarity over flourish and close attention over theatrics. Today, Ashley Herzberg is consulting winemaker of Bacigalupi Vineyards (since 2011), consulting winemaker of Amista Vineyards (since 2011), and consulting winemaker of Saini Vineyards.
