Ayesha Thapar is the founder and owner of the Cal-India hospitality group behind Ettan in Palo Alto, Copra in San Francisco, and Eylan in Menlo Park. Official and press sources describe her as a Delhi-raised restaurateur, and coverage notes that she co-founded Ettan with chef Srijith Gopinathan in 2020 before expanding the group with Little Blue Door in Los Altos and Eylan in 2025. In 2026, Thapar and Gopinathan were recognized as James Beard semifinalists in the Outstanding Restaurateur category for the restaurant group.
