The Climb

Training at Eastern Institute of Technology gave Barry Riwai the base to move into the cellar door and winery world of Hawke's Bay, where winemaking at Clearview Estate Winery Restaurant Cellar Door added practical exposure to the region's trade. That path now sits behind his work as chief winemaker of Alpha Domus, Bridge Pa, Hawke's Bay. “Through the winemaking we maintain what’s grown in the vineyard, not overshadow it.” Barry has said.

Signature

Barry's signature wines include The Aviator, The Navigator, and The Batten Organic Chardonnay 2023.
