Benjamin Martinek is the Culinary Director of Pendry Newport Beach and The Elwood Club in Newport Beach, California. Pendry announced his appointment in September 2023, saying he would oversee the resort’s food-and-beverage programming and the members-only club after previously serving within Montage Hotels & Resorts. Earlier reporting and interviews describe him as a California chef with more than 13 years of experience, including senior roles at Montage Laguna Beach’s Studio.
