Bouvier described the volume as average, but said he was very impressed by the quality, even with harvest beginning on 22 August, a new record. He also noted that by the same point the year before, half the domaine had already been picked. The year compressed the work into a shorter window, putting pressure on the vineyards while leaving the fruit, in his assessment, up to the task.
