Bittor Arguinzoniz is the chef-proprietor of Asador Etxebarri in Axpe-Atxondo, Bizkaia, a restaurant he has led since 1990. He is widely identified as an autodidact grill master whose fire-and-brazier cooking style helped bring Asador Etxebarri to the top tier of global fine dining, including a Michelin star and a top-three World’s 50 Best ranking in recent years. He was awarded the Premio Nacional de Gastronomía in 2016 for Mejor Jefe de Cocina.
