From business studies at St. Edward’s University in 2000, Briana Valdez went on to found HomeState in Los Angeles in 2013 and has led it since as founder and CEO. In 2021, her work was recognized with the StarChefs Los Angeles Rising Stars Concept Award.
The Path
Briana Valdez trained at St. Edward’s University before beginning her career in Los Angeles, where she worked first as an interior design worker and then in the spa and massage industry. She later became a host at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro in Beverly Hills (2009–2013), a role that sharpened her sense of hospitality and rhythm. Today, Briana is founder and ceo of HomeState (since 2013).
