i. Biography
Cheung Yat Fung is a Hong Kong-born chef specializing in Chaozhou/Chiuchow cuisine who became executive chef of Chao Shang Chao in Beijing’s Chaoyang district in 2020. He led the restaurant to three Michelin stars and was recognized with the inaugural Michelin Mentor Chef Award in Mainland China. Earlier reporting places him in senior chef roles in Shanghai, including Ji Pin Xuan, where he earned Michelin recognition before moving to Beijing.
