Cho Hee-sook

Cho Hee-sook is a South Korean chef known for advancing modern Korean fine dining and for specializing in royal court-style hansik. She began her culinary career in 1983 at Sejong Hotel after previously working as a middle-school home economics teacher, later holding posts at major hotels and as head chef at the Korean Embassy residence in Washington, D.C. Since 2019 she has been chef-owner of Hansikgonggan in Seoul, where she earned a Michelin star and became the recipient of the Michelin Guide Seoul Mentor Chef Award.
